Voi Unit  January   26, 2018 The orphans left the stockade compound as soon as they had finished their morning milk bottle. Mbirikani was leading the group and stopped to scratch her bottom against a rock that she found effective, preventing the rest of the group from moving on until she was done. Soon after they resumed their journey Nguvu broke through to the front of the group and took over the leadership role. Mashariki was jealous of him doing this and kept trying to grab his tail with her trunk in an effort to pull him back.

Today Kihari came up behind Ndii and managed to steal Tahri way from her for a private browsing session in some thick bush. The two browsed together for half an hour after which Kihari brought Tahri back as it was time for the midday milk bottle and mud bath. The orphans had a lot of fun playing in the mud bath and spent the afternoon browsing close to waterhole.
