DSWT supporter and artist Heather Webb has once again created unique lampwork glass pendants and charms to mark the rescue of six of our orphan elephants and two of our orphaned black rhinos
DSWT supporter and artist Heather Webb has once again created unique lampwork glass pendants and charms to mark the rescue of six of our orphan elephants and two of our orphaned black rhinos. Each piece is named after a specific orphan, with no two pieces the same. This is the third time Heather has worked on lampwork jewellery with the sole aim of raising funds for the orphans’ project and we hope that like us you are inspired to what is on offer. This auction also includes two extra special pieces, which although not directly linked to the orphans’' project, are both beautiful and all about raising more funds for the project.
ALL proceeds from the sales go to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
So whether as a treat for yourself or a gift for a loved one this Summer, please do visit the online auction pages to view the jewellery and perhaps place a bid. The individual auctions end within 15 minutes of each other, ending from 14:00 British Summer Time (GMT+1) on 19th June 2009. The highest bidders when each listing ends will win the piece, so be sure to place your highest bid from the start to avoid disappointment. Not forgetting that if you win, not only will you be getting a striking piece of jewellery, but you will also be benefitting the orphans in Kenya.
The items are being auctioned on eBay, where you can read a full item description and see three pictures of each jewellery piece, as well as an image of the orphan in whose name each piece has been created.
Below is a list of the eight orphans in whose names’ the elephant and rhino necklaces have been created , as well as links to the two 'bonus' pieces, and against each is the link to the item’s eBay listing where you can place your bid.
