Over the past few months, the SWT has received weekly reports of elephant calves orphaned due to drought, human-wildlife conflict or a combination of the two. Coming mainly from the north of the country, from the Rift Valley and Laikipia regions, these fragile babies arrive on stretchers in lamentable and weak conditions, in desperate need of food, water, milk, love, and safe haven. All of which the team in Nairobi can offer, with your help.
Make a one-off donation
Each of the 102 orphaned elephants that are currently in the care of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust need a 24/7 nurturing Keeper presence, up to 48 litres of specialist nourishing formula milk a day and stables to sleep in. It’s up to us to give them the best chance possible. Should you feel able to give a further gift today to bolster our efforts and your existing support, it would be truly appreciated.
