Rift Valley Mobile Veterinary Unit Report for July 2021

Many parts South and North of Lake Naivasha and the Central Rift Conservation Area have received sporadic rain showers. The region is experiencing good pasture and browse is abundant for wildlife. 22 wildlife cases were undertaken during July.

The SWT/KWS Rift Valley Mobile Veterinary Unit visited many areas during the month of operations, including; Soysambu ranch, Lake Bogoria, Kedong ranch, Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, Kitale Nature Conservancy, and Mount Elgon National Park. The Unit conducted general clinical work and routine security patrols as well as treating 11 zebra, 5 giraffe, 5 antelope, 2 hyenas and 2 buffalo cases.
