The Southern Conservation Area and the Amboseli Ecosystem experienced a dry and cold period in June 2026.
Six cases were attended in Amboseli Ecosystem. All case principally involved elephants and a giraffe. These cases involved an elephant and a giraffe with a spear wound; the rest were likely natural including 1 elephant postmortem.
