Saving one life, paving the way for generations of elephants.

Every orphan we rescue is ultimately rewilded into the greater Tsavo Conservation Area, home to Kenya’s largest national park and its biggest population of elephants. Living as nature intended, they can start their own families, creating elephant dynasties in the process.

To date, we have met more than 76 calves born to orphaned elephants raised by our hand. These wild-born babies are the greatest testament to the success of our Orphans’ Project, proving how one life saved can lead to generations of elephants. Meet our extended elephant family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Raising an orphaned elephant or rhino is a costly and long-term commitment, requiring years of round-the-clock nurturing from our specialist team of Keepers. Each orphan has multiple adopters, and adoption funds support our Orphans’ Project and wider conservation programs, ensuring that every animal receives the same high standard of care.
