As the feeding on lucerne was in progress, Nabulu, Naboishu, and Sana Sana emerged from the eastern side. They were running quickly, which scared the entire group, who also started running towards the west. The Keepers called the herd and managed to calm them down. Roho engaged Mkuu in a pushing game as Barsilinga played with Nusu.
Shortly later, the ex-orphans went on their way, leaving Malima, Ndiwa, and our patient Barsilinga behind. At around nine thirty in the morning, the treatment commenced. The injury was the result of a spear. The wound was very deep, but fortunately it did not compromise the joint or bone. After thoroughly cleaning out the injury and administering antibiotics, Barsilinga was up and on his way. He immediately left for an undisclosed location. He got to his feet and then strode off into the bush.

In the afternoon. Sagateisa — who left two weeks ago to babysit Olare’s newborn, Ola — was present. We tried to get her and Neshashi to re-join the dependent herd, but the girls quickly rebelled and ran back to rejoin the ex-orphans. Clearly, they are very happy with their wild lives!
In the afternoon, the orphans settled to browse east of Ithumba Hill. The orphans browsed calmly throughout the remaining part of the day.

Kinyei complained bitterly, prompting Roho to dismount for fear that her cry would attract the seniors and get him punished. Roho walked down and met Lapa whom he engaged in a strength testing exercise. Their game was disrupted by Nusu, who pushed the two boys away.
