Half an hour later, Weka led the way to the browsing field while Mutara and her group headed west. The orphans settled to browse at Kone area.
Their browsing activities were soon disrupted by wild bulls searching for Oltaiyoni. Oltaiyoni, who is in season, tried to seek protection amongst the orphans and Keepers, not realising that she was putting the Keepers’ lives in danger. The Keepers quickly called their orphans and disappeared as fast as they could to avoid confrontation with the bulls, which had already started charging in their direction.
Luckily, there were big rocks nearby which the Keepers climbed, allowing them to watch the drama unfold from a safe distance. Oltaiyoni eventually ran east after realising the Keepers had abandoned her and fled. The orphans climbed up the hill as they tried to follow the Keepers.
After the drama ended and the bulls disappeared out of sight, everyone climbed down and things returned to normal.
