Although some isolated areas received sporadic showers, dry conditions persisted over most areas south and north of Lake Naivasha and the Central Rift Conservation Area in general.
The Rift Valley Mobile Veterinary Unit attended to 17 Cases in August 2022. 13 Cases were related to poaching; this included 8 snared zebras, 3 snared giraffes, 1 snared waterbuck and 1 snared buffalo. 15 cases in total were treated successfully.
