Elephants and black rhinos born to orphans we have rescued, raised, and rewilded.
To date, we know of 79 elephant calves born to orphans rescued, raised, and rewilded through our Orphans’ Project. These are the babies we have met; their mothers making the pilgrimage home to their Reintegration Unit, inviting us to be a part of this celebration of new life. There will be many more out there, fathered by male orphans living back in the wild. There are also two wild-born rhino calves, in the shape of Sultan and his younger sister Savannah, both born to wild-living orphan Solio who assimilated into Nairobi National Park's black rhino population.
