Head by KWS Vet Dr Lawi, the SWT/KWS Southern Veterinary Unit operates in the Greater Tsavo Conservation Area and where needed across southern Kenya.
The conservation area received no meaningful precipitation during the month. However, a few water pans are full, and the vegetation is rapidly drying off. Some areas still have good vegetation cover and both grazers and browsers have enough food and are in good body condition.
