THE DE-SNARING PROJECT: NDOVU TEAM ITHUMBA
Area of Operation:
The Ithumba Team is based at Ithumba, the Headquarter's for the Northern Area of Tsavo East National Park. The lengthy northern boundary is patrolled by this team, along with sensitive areas within the Northern Area of Tsavo East National Park for example the Tiva river and Gazi areas. |
Team Description:
The five man team trained through the KWS Manyani Ranger Academy is accompanied by armed Kenya Wildlife Service rangers while on patrol. The team leader for this unit is Lemanten Labarakwe. The team members are Kiperus M.Singanga,
Omar Ali Bashungi,James Nyumu and
Salim Ahmed.
