Mutara, Mambo, Sities, Turkwel, Kainuk, Malkia, Suguta, Dololo, Chaimu, Loijuk, Lili, and Lisha arrived at the stockade compound early at dawn. The ex-orphans waited outside the stockade for the orphans to come out so that they could share lucerne together. Mambo kept himself busy by engaging Dololo in a pushing game. As Dololo was walking in reverse, trying to make Mambo happy, he thought the water trough was a bit far. Dololo realised too late when he accidentally dropped into the water trough, causing panic amongst the ex-orphans. The loud sound of his fall made all the ex-orphans run to check what was happening. Mambo ran in the opposite direction as he had seen what had happened. Dololo composed himself, stood up, then stepped out of the water trough walking like a gentleman and didn’t engage Mambo in a pushing game anymore.

The orphans had their milk at six o’clock in the morning, then walked out to join the ex-orphans. Mambo tried his antics on the no-nonsense Suguroi. Suguroi pinched Mambo by squeezing his trunk. Mambo didn’t wait for more squeezing but ran away. Loldaiga, Mukutan, and Choka had a brief meeting with Turkwel and later attempted to follow two wild bulls who were in the company of the ex-orphans. The Keepers were quick to block them from following the two wild bulls. Choka engaged Roho in a pushing game but ended up losing it to Roho. Shortly later, the orphans headed for browsing.

The orphans settled to browse in the Kone area and had a quiet morning. The sky was clear, and the day turned out to be a hot one. At eleven o’clock in the morning, Mayan led the way for the noon bottle feeds. The orphans thereafter jumped into the water and had a cooling-off exercise before heading for a soil bathing exercise. In the afternoon, the orphans settled to browse west of Ithumba Hill. Loldaiga settled to browse with his two friends, Mukutan and Choka. In the evening, Mayan led the way back to the stockade.
