Anti-Poaching Report: August 2025August proved to be a busy month for anti-poaching operations. As expected during the dry season, illegal activities increased across protected areas, as did field emergencies requiring support from our SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams. This is the beginning of what will surely prove to be a very intense period until the rains arrive.

Anti-Poaching Report: July 2025Our SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams had a highly productive month, covering 39,852 kilometres on patrol. Rangers confiscated 1,679 snares and made 34 arrests for various wildlife crimes, while also supporting field emergencies ranging from an orphan rescue to firefighting efforts.

Anti-Poaching Report: June 2025June was a busy month, as the dry season started to take hold and there was an expected rise in illegal activities. SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams teams collected 1,046 snares, made 35 arrests, and confiscated 41 kilograms of elephant ivory during the month, covering 46,457 kilometres on patrol.
